CST2011在i7 3770只跑了4個(gè)線程,怎么設(shè)置可以跑8個(gè)線程呢?
謝謝,i7是4核8線程的
Why are only half of the available processor cores used by the CST solvers? (hyperthreading) (Faq #348)
(Last modified: 11/21/2010 )
Newer processors have a feature called hyperthreading, i.e., the processors have not only the so called physical cores but they also have virtual cores which provide some limited functionality but are shown in the Windows Task Manager as normal processor cores. This means that you will see 24 processor cores in the Task Manager on a machine which has 12 physical processor cores with hyperthreading enabled.
For some type of applications hyperthreading can improve the performance. However, the performance of the CST solvers suffers if they run not only on physical processor cores but also on the virtual cores. For this reason the solvers are only started on the physical processor cores found on the machine. The virtual cores are ignored. This is the reason why you see only 50% processor load in the Task Manager.
